Hallelujah! Handel's Messiah
Brampton Festival Singers' Hallelujah! Handel's Messiah concert on Friday December 6, 2024 at 7:30pm at the historic St. Paul's United Church in downtown Brampton, Ontario.
Joining the Brampton Festival Singers will be the Great Lakes Philharmonic orchestra with talented musicians from across the GTHA. Within the orchestra will be a lute musician to bring Handel's Messiah to life, like never before in Brampton! The lute was included during Handel's time. This will bring a unique sound to the orchestra. At the helm of the orchestra will be Anton Yeretsky, conducting the orchestra and the choir.
About the Soloists
Emily Morgan
From a young age I have been inspired by the voice, and have had a love for choral music. I am proud to have been a member of The Guelph Youth Singers, The Wayne Gilpin Singers, St Cecelia Singers, Les Choristes, The UWO Singers, Brampton Festival Singers and The Edison Singers. My previous performances include: Handel’s “Let the bright Seraphim” and Bach’s “Gloria Patri et Filio” I Graduated from the Univeristy of Western Ontario 2009 with a Bachelor of Musical Arts specializing in vocal music. Robert Hennig
Robert graduated from the University of Toronto with a Music degree and a post graduate diploma in Music with Honours. Mr. Hennig has won the Toronto Kopaz Foundation award and the Canadian Opera Women’s Society award for excellence in music. He also won the Brampton Arts Council Bloom award, for best new composition, Alleluia for Peace. He is a keyboard as well as a strings specialist. Robert has been directing the Brampton Festival Singers for many years and is the Music Director at St. Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church in Brampton, Ontario. He has performed in Haydn Hall in the Esterhazy Palace in Vienna, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Jeffrey Carl
Jeffrey Carl, a Toronto born international Verdi Baritenor, has appeared in lead roles in many of the major opera houses in over 20 countries, having shared the stage with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti, Aprile Millo, Julia Migenes and others. He has worked with conductors like Sir Richard Bonynge, Sir Georg Solti and Sir Antonio Pappano, and is recently back from singing again in Italy this past summer. His next works in Canada will be Carmina Burana in Toronto (baritone) and then Montreal and Ottawa making his debut in the tenor role. As an accredited voice over artist, he records regularly in four languages and is also a recognized film and television actor both here and in the US and Europe. This also marks his debut with Maestro Anton Yeretsky.

Anton Yeretsky
Anton Yeretsky is a symphonic conductor and concert violinist with over two decades in the Classical Music Industry. Celebrated for energetic and emotionally engaging performances, Anton consistently draws return audiences. An effective interpreter of the music from the classical era he inspires audiences with his deep passion for music. His leadership in performing in and directing international orchestras and educational projects has proven his abilities to work with diverse communities. - Memorable Artistic Performances: Captivated audiences at prestigious venues including Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna Austria, Wiener Musikverein, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall, Victory Hall, Shanghai Oriental Art Centre, and Opera Marseille in France.
