2021-2022 Season

This season was a virtual one. We rehearsed via Zoom due to the pandemic and in the Spring, we were able to start rehearsing in-person again as restrictions were easing!

We ended off our season with a virtual concert filmed at our rehearsal space in June of 2022 and broadcasted over Zoom on Sunday June 26, 2022 Listen to our guest musician, Nora on the fiddle, who performed with us! We also had a guest soloist, Claudia who sang Tout Le Long Du Rivage with us. It’s a toe tapping good time!

June 2022 concert: Appreciating and Protecting our Natural Environment, A Metis Focus

This concert was a fun celebration of Canada’s rich cultural mosaic with a focus on the Metis kitchen music tradition including tips on water conservation.

A tribute to Brampton's Indigenous Community. A fiddle tune performed by Nora Pellerin which she learned from her Metis grandfather.
We would like to thank the generosity of the City of Brampton’s Advance Brampton Fund (ABF) and the Federal Government which helped make this Virtual Concert possible.
Thank you  Shafqat Ali, Member of Parliament for Brampton Central, who met with the President and Artistic Director of the BFS choir for an exchange of ideas.
